Ezekiel Holbert Arrested in Police Officer Killings

An Oklahoma man faces murder charges after fatally shooting two sheriff’s deputies on Sunday. Ezekiel Holbert shot the deputies as they were trying to arrest him on domestic assault charges.

The shooting happened around 3 p.m. at the home of Holbert’s mother. Holbert, 26, fled the scene and was arrested 3 hours later at his home following a manhunt.

One of the wounded deputies died at the scene and the other died at a hospital. A third officer was at the home at the time of the shooting but was not injured. A woman outside the home was wounded by stray gunfire. The identities of the victims have not been released.
