No Storms Around at Time of Fatal NY Crash

AccuWeather.com reports the three-vehicle crash that killed four adults and four children in New York State Sunday occurred under partly sunny skies and a light wind.

 

The crash happened along Taconic State Parkway about 30 miles north of New York when a minivan struck two vehicles in succession while driving the wrong way along the northbound lane, according to CNN. The driver of the minivan, her daughter and three nieces died, while three adults died in a second vehicle.

 

White Plains, NY reported partly sunny conditions and temperatures in the mid-80s at the time of the crash. Wind speeds did not exceed 10 mph and visibility was 10 miles.
