A Louisville corrections officer was placed under arrest and jailed after he crashed his car into the Clark County Middle/High Alternative School.
Police received a call early Monday morning notifying them that an alarm at the school had gone off. When they arrived they found that a car had crashed into the building.
Police determined that the driver of the car was Damien Conn, 25, a corrections officer at the jail in Jeffersonville. Conn is facing charges of battery to police, evading arrest and leaving the scene of an accident. Police also said more charges are possible.
The Clark County Middle/ High Alternative School had some damages, but a building inspector said it was structurally sound ad student will be able to return later this week or by next Monday. No students were injured.
