A tractor-trailer collided with a train Monday evening, causing significant damage and minor injury to the truck driver.
Police said that Travis Carll, 32, was driving his truck loaded with tree length logs south on Route 11 around noon when he came to the railroad crossing. Carll was unable to stop his rig and slammed into the train.
The train owned by Maine Northern Railroad was also carrying logs. The impact of the crash knocked one train car off the tracks, spilling its load of logs.
Carll only suffered a minor injury to his hand; no others were injured.
The truck was totaled and the train sustained significant damage.
It took crews a few hours to clear up the wreckage. Police are still investigating the accident to determine the cause.
