Study shows secret to weigh loss is not fad diets or pills

Obesity is a major health concern for millions of Americans, but finding the right diet can be impossible. According to a recent study, the best methods for weight loss don’t include fad diets or pills. Researchers found that people who exercised more, followed a low fat diet and joined a weight loss program have better and more permanent results.

The researchers studied 4,000 people who were trying to lose weight and tracked their progress over a year. They concluded that people who ate less fatty foods and exercised regularly lost the most weigh. The individuals who used diet pills, followed fad and liquid diets had less success with dieting.

Obesity can cause a range of illnesses which can include heart disease, diabetes, stroke and some forms of cancer. Excessive weight is not only healthy, but it also makes a person fell insecure about their appearance.

Last year, researchers found that obese people who had lost significant weight and also had liposuction to remove extra fat from their abdomens were able to reduce their risk of heart disease and lower their cholesterol.

Not only can liposuction have health benefits but it can also help boost a person’s self-esteem. This minimally evasive cosmetic procedure allows a person the opportunity to eliminate fat that dieting and physical activity cannot reduce. Through liposuction the unsightly fat and bulges are gently eliminated giving the patient a leaner and more trim physique.
