Two iconic brands, Lilly Pulitzer and NABISCO BARNUM'S ANIMALS crackers, are teaming up to launch 2 million limited-edition cracker boxes in a custom signature Pulitzer print and giving fans a way to track the famous boxes through the "Cracker Tracker." As the adorable boxes create smiles nationwide, they also are creating awareness for children who can't smile because of facial deformities. Lilly Pulitzer and BARNUM'S ANIMALS have partnered with Operation Smile, an international charity that provides free surgery for children born with cleft lips and cleft palates.
The "Cracker Tracker" is back this year on the Lilly Pulitzer Web site, so Lilly Lovers and BARNUM'S ANIMALS fans can find their own stylish snack boxes. The boxes can be found wherever BARNUM'S ANIMALS is sold. When the "Cracker Tracker" launched last year, more than 1,500 people marked, via a map pin, where they found boxes. The boxes also created beautiful gifts for Easter baskets and as favor gifts at baby showers.
Lilly Lovers can visit the "Cracker Tracker" on the Lilly Pulitzer site, and bookmark the page so they can go treasure hunting for their own box. Fans who find them in local grocery stores can show off their found boxes by pinning and posting pictures on the map, and they are encouraged to share with friends through Twitter and Facebook.
This year, Lilly Pulitzer and BARNUM'S ANIMALS are supporting Operation Smile through a donation and by including information about the charity on the designed box. For children born with facial clefts living in the poorest regions of the world, the greatest gift one can give is a new smile. Operation Smile works in more than 60 countries to help children in need worldwide, whose parents can't afford the surgery they so desperately need.
Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft. One in 10 of those children will die before their first birthday. With the help of donors, volunteers and corporate supporters like Lilly Pulitzer and BARNUM'S ANIMALS (made by Kraft Foods), Operation Smile has provided more than 2 million healthcare evaluations and over 200,000 free reconstructive surgeries for children worldwide.
