NFL Week 9 Scores and Highlights

Jon Kitna threw for 321 yards and a touchdown while Kevin Jones rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns as the Lions (2-6) defeated visiting Atlanta 30-14. Michael Vick threw two interceptions and fumbled once in loss Falcons (5-3) loss.

Larry Johnson ran for 172 yards and a touchdown and Damon Huard threw three touchdown passes as the Chiefs (5-3) went into St. Louis and knocked off the Rams 31-17. Marc Bulger threw for 354 yards and a touchdown for the Rams (4-4).

Cincinnati (4-4) turned the ball over three times, twice on interceptions from Carson Palmer and the Bengals lost for the third time in four games 26-20. The Ravens (6-2) held the Bengals to 92 yards on the ground while Steve McNair threw for 245 yards.

Ronnie Brown rushed for 157 yards and Joey Harrington threw three touchdowns as the Miami Dolphins (2-6) halted Chicago’s pursuit for perfection. Chicago (7-1) turned the ball over six times and could never get their running game going as they fell 31-13.

Drew Breese threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns for the Saints (6-2) while Marques Colston had 123 receiving yards and a touchdown while fellow wide receiver Devery Henderson had 111 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-14 win over Tampa (2-6).

Tiki Barber rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown and Eli Manning added a touchdown pass as the N.Y. Giants (6-2) handled the Houston Texans (2-6) 14-10. David Carr passed for 176 yards in the Houston loss.

David Garrard continued to impress with 177 yards passing and three touchdowns and Ernest Wilford had two touchdown receptions for the Jaguars (5-3). Vince Young threw three interceptions as quarterback for Tennessee (2-6) as the Jags pounded out a 37-7 win.

London Fletcher had 14 tackles for the Bills (3-5) while offensively Anthony Thomas rushed for 95 yards as Buffalo took advantage of two Brett Favre interceptions for a 24-10 victory over Green Bay (3-5). One of those interceptions was returned by Fletcher for a touchdown.

The Cowboys (4-4) lined up to kick the winning field goal with six seconds left, that attempt was blocked and during the return by Sean Taylor Dallas was called for a facemask and Washington (3-5) earned an additional 15-yards in position. Nick Novak came onto the field and kicked a game-winning 47-yard field goal 22-19.

Ladainian Tomlinson racked up 172 rushing yards and three touchdowns and Philip Rivers threw for 211 yards as the Chargers (6-2) handled the Browns (2-6) 32-25. Kellen Winslow had 78 yards receiving in Cleveland’s loss.

Despite only 133 total yards of offense the 49ers (3-5) were able to shut out the Vikings (4-4) for three quarters and manage three field goals for the 9-3 win. Brandon Moore had 14 tackjles for the 49ers.

Jake Plummer threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns while Javon Walker rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns for the Broncos (6-2). Pittsburgh (2-6) turned the ball over six times, including three interceptions from Ben Roethlisberger in the 31-20 loss. Roethlisberger threw for 433 yards and one touchdown.
