Cobra Marine, a division of Cobra Electronics, and Sea Tow Services International Inc. today declared a long-term agreement to promote reliable communications for boaters. Effective immediately Cobra Marine VHF radios will serve as the official VHF radio of Sea Tow.
"We're proud Sea Tow has chosen to partner with us," said Tony Mirabelli, Cobra's senior vice-president of marketing and sales. "With their tow boats used to assist boaters on the water and most calls being sent from VHF radios, it's a natural partnership."
Further ensuring dependability and creating an operational standard, Cobra Marine will outfit Sea Tow Command Central with their new VHF radio products.
Established in 1983 by Captain Joe Frohnhoefer, Sea Tow is a franchise-based, international marine assistance organization headquartered in Southold, New York. With over 110 locations, the company's network represents nearly 1,000 captains, crew and professional support staff who are standing by 24 hours a day to serve the recreational boating community.
