HPQ - Hewlett Packard and McAfee Partnership to Integrate Products Into Hardware

Hewlett-Packard and McAfee announced a partnership that allows HP to incorporate McAfee's products into its hardware, namely HP's switches and networking gear. Last week Extreme joined the trend, partnering with McAfee in order to integrate the companies' respective networking and security infrastructures.
The moves by HP and Extreme are an admission that they're trailing Cisco and Juniper in this area, and further evidence that customers are looking for more from vendors in the way of security. HP and Extreme gain a broad range of leading threat-management technology by partnering with McAfee. The technologies include host security, network intrusion detection and prevention, firewall and data loss prevention, along with McAfee's popular management software, ePolicy Orchestrator.
