Cement truck crashes into Texas baseball field during practice

Players on a New Braunfels high school baseball team got a sudden shock Monday evening when a cement truck was sent careening into the outfield after colliding with a pickup truck.

The cement truck was traveling along a local highway that runs parallel to the outfield when he tried to merge into traffic and ran into the back of a pickup truck at a yield sign. The impact of the crash caused the truck driver to lose control, crash through the fence that surrounds the baseball field and sent it careening across the entire outfield, exiting through the left field wall.

There was player in the outfield directly in the path of the on oncoming truck, but the astute player managed to get out of the way.

The driver of the truck and two passengers had to be taken to the hospital for minor injuries and were the only people injured.

The primary concern of the parties involved in this collision and their truck accident attorneys will be to recover any of the costs they incur as a result of the accident.

While this accident did not seriously injure anyone, a large number of accidents involving commercial trucks can lead to devastating injuries or death, causing them to accumulate costly medical bills. A truck accident lawyer will work diligently to get personal injuries victims the compensation they deserve.  Injury victims are encouraged to contact a truck accident attorney so that they will receive a favorable settlement.
