One killed and six others injured after truck flips on Florida highway

An early morning accident involving a pickup truck resulted in the death of one man and seriously injured five others.

Police said that at approximately 6:03 a.m. a pickup truck carrying seven people lost control on Dale Mabry Highway. After losing control the truck veered left onto the median and flipped over, ejecting two men sitting in the back onto the roadway.

One of the men 18 year-old Neco Jones was then struck by another car. Jones died as a result of the accident.

The other man who was ejected 20 year-old Benjamin Fowler was seriously injured. He along with three other passengers, who had incurred critical injuries were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital. The truck’s driver was also seriously injured.

As a result of the accident Dale Mabry had to be closed causing major traffic jams.

Police are still trying to determine what caused the driver to lose control.

Traffic accidents can happen at any moment and are often caused by a careless driver. When one person’s actions cause injury or death, the victims can retain an accident attorney to file a lawsuit.

With the assistance of an accident lawyer the victims can be assured that they don’t have to pay their medical bills or other expenses out of their own pockets. By applying their expertise, an accident attorney will obtain a just settlement for the victims of a traffic collision.
