NBA: Scores from Monday Night

NBA scores and highlights from Monday night.

Carlos Arroyo had 23 points and Dwight Howard grabbed 14 rebounds as the Orlando Magic (2-2) got past the Washington Wizards (1-2) 106-103. Antawn Jamison finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort. Gilbert Arenas scored 24 points for the Wizards on a 6-20 shooting night.

Tony Parker paced San Antonio (3-1) with a double-double posting 24 points and 10 rebounds while Tim Duncan had 15 points and 8 rebounds as the Spurs outlasted the NY Knicks (1-3) 105-93. Eddy Curry had a double-double of his own for the Knicks with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Chicago (2-2) evened their season record and Ben Gordon had a monster game for the Bulls with 37 points and 9 assists as they cruised past the Milwaukee Bucks (2-2) 110-85. The Bulls shot 54 percent from the field. Michael Redd had 30 points and Charlie Villanueva had 17 points and 13 rebounds in a losing effort. 

The Dallas Mavericks (0-3) dropped their third straight game as the Golden State Warriors (2-2) got away with a 107-104 victory. The Warriors got 20 points from Troy Murphy, 22 from Jason Richardson and 26 from Baron Davis. Dirk Nowitzki scored 26 points and had 11 rebounds for the Mavs.

Backed by Carlos Boozer’s 20 points and 11 rebounds and Mehmet Okur 23 points and 10 rebounds the Utah Jazz (4-0) stayed perfect on the year beating the Detroit Pistons (2-2) 103-101. Rasheed Wallace had 25 points and 12 rebounds in the loss

Sacramento (2-2) had six players in double figures and had 12 steals as a team as they handled the Minnesota Timberwolves (2-2) 93-81. The Kings got a strong performance from Ron Artest who contributed 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Kevin Garnett finished with 15 points and 10 boards.

The L.A. Clippers (3-1) got a balanced attack led by Sam Cassell’s 16 points and 7 assists, Chris Kaman’s 15 points and 9 rebounds and Corey Maggette’s 18 points and 8 rebounds as they hung on to defeat the Portland Trailblazers (2-2) 100-89. Zach Randolph scored 35 points and had 13 rebounds in the loss.
