Johnny Depp, Halle Berry and Carrie Underwood lead nominees for People’s Choice Awards

Tuesday wasn’t only Election Day across the United States; it was also the day the 33rd annual People’s Choice Awards announced their nominees for top prize.

The People’s Choice Awards encourages fan interaction to determine not only the nominees but the winners as well. The broadcast will air January 9 from the Shrine Auditorium.

Leading the charge of nominees for this year’s Awards is Johnny Depp with three and a handful of stars that include Halle Berry, Carrie Underwood, and Shakira received two nominations.

The People’s Choice Awards will announce a second round of nominations later. Those categories will include favorite movie and remake of a song.
