"Light a Candle, Feed a Child." That is the mission of Bridgewater Candle Company. Peoples Flowers stocks Bridgewater's delightful candle creations at its Albuquerque locations. Not only are the candles deliciously scented and beautifully made, but part of the proceeds go a good cause: feeding orphans in developing countries.
Peoples Flowers invites customers to join together on Saturday, April 21 for a special Bridgewater Candles event. Customers will receive free sample votives and be entered to win a reed diffuser. For every jar candle sold, $.75 is donated to Rice Bowls, a non-profit organization that provides nutrition to orphaned children. The proceeds from one candle will feed a child for a day.
Since the program began in 2010, Peoples Flowers has provided 1300 days of food for orphaned children. "New Mexico is known for its charity and generosity. Giving back is just as important to us as it is to our customers," says Peoples Flowers owner Wayne Pollack. "We are blessed to have the ability to help hungry children around the world through our partnership with Bridgewater Candles."
Stop by any of our Albuquerque florist locations for a special celebration on April 21 to raise awareness of world hunger. Browse through our huge collection of Bridgewater candles and choose from irresistible scents like "Spring Dress" and "Sweet Grace." Purchase a candle to light up your home...and the life of a needy child.
The locations for the Albuquerque event are at Peoples Flower Shops at 3700 Central Ave SE, 7600 Menaul Blvd. NE, and 9625 Montgomery Blvd. NE. Savon Cash and Carry, Peoples' sister store, is also participating at its 1313 Eubank Blvd NE and 3520 Candelaria RD. NE locations.
