Michael Jackson to perform at World Music Awards

Michael Jackson will be performing later this month at the World Music Awards. The proclaimed King of Pop will bring “Thriller” back to life, 25 years after the album with the same name took over the music world.

Jackson has been at the center of several allegations surrounding child molestation charges over the past few years. Despite being acquitted of the charges it has been next to impossible for the superstar to escape the stigma that comes with the claims.

Since June of 2005 Jackson has spent much of his time living away from his Neverland Ranch in California. He has split time overseas in an attempt to avoid the media.

The World Music Awards will be presenting Michael Jackson with a Diamond Award. The Diamond Award is presented to artists who sell more than 100 million records worldwide.

The 48-year-old Jackson has said he has plans to release a new album next year.

Lindsay Lohan will be hosting the World Music Awards to be held November 15 in London.
