Wisconsin construction worker dies in work-related accident

Lawrence, WI- A construction worker died early Friday morning following a crane accident on a worksite on a Highway 41 expansion project.

Police were called to the scene around 8:30 a.m. following an accident involving a crane. Investigators believe the crane fell onto the worker, whose identity has not been revealed pending notification of his family.

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration are investigating the accident to determine the cause.

This is the second work-related death in the Green Bay area this week. On Tuesday, a Green Bay city employee a woman was seriously injured when she got trapped beneath an industrial riding lawnmower while she was working alone. She died of her injuries Wednesday.
