Progress Energy was ranked third in the South region and seventh in the nation in the latest J.D. Power & Associates survey of residential customers, declared July 16.The 2009 Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Survey is based on responses from more than 79,500 online interviews conducted from July 2008 through May 2009 among residential customers of the 121 largest electric utility brands across the United States, which collectively represent more than 92 million households.
"During these challenging economic times, it is more significant than ever that we provide a level of service that meets and exceeds our customers' expectations," said Lloyd Yates, president and CEO of Progress Energy. "These results verify that we are focused on the things that matter to our customers. We know that customer satisfaction is a continuous process, and we are working hard to provide real value for our customers every day."
