Dog Whisperer, Caesar Milan, ordered to pay $400,000 divorce settlement to ex

After a two year-long divorce battle, Caesar Milan, star of “Dog Whisperer” has reached a settlement with his ex-wife.

According to court documents obtained by celebrity gossip site TMZ, Milan makes $170,000 a month and will now have to pay his wife a lump sum of $400,000 in addition to $23,000 a month in spousal support and $10,000 a month child support.

Milan’s wife Illusion retained a divorce attorney and filed papers in July of 2010 siting irreconcilable differences. Illusion also asked the court to grant her custody of their two sons Calvin and Andre.

The couples married 16 years ago when Illusion was 18 and Milan was 24 have had some troubles in the past. The couple separated after their first son was born, but reconciled shortly after wards.

In exchange for the large settlement, Milan’s divorce lawyer managed to get a solid confidentiality agreement, which states that any “intimate personal and/or private information about the party…including details of their personal and/or sexual relationships,” must remain confidential.

Milan, who came to America from Mexico with only a hundred dollars in his pocket, built a sizable business after eight seasons of his popular show. His former wife Illusion helped him manage Caesar Milan Inc., which produces a variety of dog care products.

When a couple with many assets decides to divorce, it is on the best interest of both parties to retain a divorce attorney to help them come up with an agreeable settlement.
