Giuliana Rancic is finally going to become a mother! After years of struggling with infertility and then battling breast cancer, Giuliana announced Monday she is expecting her first child via gestational carrier. Giuliana and her husband, Bill Rancic, appeared on the Today show to reveal their baby news.
"We are finally having a baby!" Giuliana, 37, told Ann Curry.
The baby is due in “late summer.” The couple said they know the sex of the baby, but plan to keep it under wraps for as long as possible.
Giuliana and Bill found the gestational carrier through a Colorado doctor they used for in-vitro fertilization treatments before Giuliana’s breast cancer diagnosis last year. They used a frozen embryo from their IVF treatments, so the baby will be their biological child. Giuliana told Curry they see the woman each month and go to all of her doctor’s appointments.
"We see the baby grow and it's very exciting," Bill, 40, said.
"We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered," added Giuliana.
The Rancics can be seen on the fifth season of their Style Network reality show, Giuliana & Bill.
