Britney Spears heads to Miami

Britney Spears is packing her bags and leaving New York. The newly single Spears is heading to Miami to continue working on her new album, her first since 2003.

Spears had a busy week in New York City, while her focus was on laying down tracks in the studio she was able to mix in an appearance on David Letterman, go ice skating at Rockefeller Center, and file for divorce from her husband.

The pop princess has been spending long hours at the Sony Music Studio in New York and a change in scenery may bring her a bit of relief. Ever since her split from Kevin Federline on Tuesday, Spears has been the subject of a media frenzy.

As for her ex, Federline continues to promote his new album Playing with Fire. While the father of four has taken a beating over the years for his status as Mr. Spears, he has continued to insist that he is his own man and his music career can stand on its own.

He performed at Chicago’s House of Blues on Wednesday to a standing-room-only crowd. It should be noted that the tickets for the performance were free.
