New Orleans Hornets agree to trade

The Hornets have agreed to a trade that will send Tyson Chandler to the Charlotte Bobcats for Emeka Okafor. The Hornets are clearly trying to keep up with their contenders. Sources told ESPN.com that the deal is scheduled to be finalized on Friday. I believe this to be a great move for the Hornets, they are acquiring a great player and salary cap relief.

Originally the New Orleans Hornets wanted to give Tyson Chandler to Oklahoma City days before the league’s trading deadline back in February. This swap will give Tyson Chandler an estimated $11.7 million next season and Okafor $10.6 million. This will save the Hornets just over$1 million next season and cost. We wish the Hornets luck with the upcoming season.
