Peoples Flowers Walks in the Albuquerque Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event

Peoples Flower Shops of Albuquerque, Albuquerque’s favorite florist, is participating in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer on April 29 with the American Cancer Society.

One in eight women will develop breast cancer at some point in her lifetime. Peoples Flowers, a New Mexico top florist, knows what an impact this disease has on the community and is stepping up to give a helping hand.

Peoples Flowers is participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event on April 29th at Cottonwood Mall on the West Side of Albuquerque. Making Strides is a fundraising walk for the American Cancer Society. This is People's second year of participation with a team full of employees, friends and family members.

The professional floral designers at Peoples have created a special bouquet for Making Strides. This stunning arrangement incorporates several shades of pink and features the iconic pink ribbon that symbolizes the fight against breast cancer. This bouquet celebrates the lives of people who have been touched by the disease. For each bouquet sold, $5 will go the American Cancer Society.

"Peoples Flowers is committed to giving back to our community through our Helping Hands program," says Wayne Pollack, owner of Peoples Flower Shops. "Participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and offering our special Making Strides bouquet is a very personal way for our employees and customers to join together in the fight against breast cancer." Customers can purchase a Making Strides bouquet online at http://www.peoplesflowers.com/product.cfm/iteID/3797 or by visiting any of Peoples Flowers' Albuquerque locations.
