Facebook reaches 901 million users, making it a boon for internet marketing

Social media giant Facebook recently announced they have reached the 900 million-user mark, making it a key element for legal internet marketing.

According to the SE-1 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the platform has 901 million active users in its network. This represents a 33 percent increase over March of last year, when the company stated it had 680 million users.

Everyday 526 million people access their accounts to share content such as news articles, videos and pictures. Daily visitors increased 41 percent over last year.

The ability to reach a large audience makes the platform attractive to brands and legal internet marketing firms.

In addition to experiencing growth in overall number of users, Facebook also stated that many people are using their mobile devices to access the site. So far this year, 488 million people accessed the platform through their smartphones or tablets, accounting for 12 percent growth.

As more people access Facebook, their engagement also increases. An average of 3.2 billion Likes and comments are generated on a daily basis. This helps a company reach a large number of users and gain added exposure which can in turn increase their customer base.

Many businesses see Facebook as an integral tool in their legal internet marketing campaigns and view the social media platform as their top priority.
