Giuliana Rancic is set to become a mom later this year with the help of a gestational carrier, and the E! News host says she couldn’t be happier with the woman she and husband Bill Rancic chose to give birth to their child.
"Once we met her it was an instinct we had. We could tell she was a great person,” Rancic tells People magazine.
"She is giving us the greatest gift we're ever getting in our lives. She's so selflessly helping make our dream a reality. We adore her,” she says.
The Rancics found the gestational carrier through a Colorado doctor they used for in-vitro fertilization treatments before Giuliana’s breast cancer diagnosis last year. They used a frozen embryo from their IVF treatments, so the baby will be their biological child.
As for the baby, Rancic says she plans to keep the gender under wraps for now. "When you do a reality show and host shows, it's hard to have secrets. It’s nice to be able to have something that only the two of us know for now. Eventually we may tell,” she adds.
