Tennessee property assessor, Bill Boner, accused of sexual harassment and retaliation

The Rutherford County property assessor, Bill Boner is facing charges that he sexually harassed two female employees and then fired them after reporting the incidents.

The women Kathy Dumm, 54, and Janie Zumbro, 70, said they were fired three months after they complained to human resources about Boner’s behavior. If a sexual harassment attorney can prove that a worker was fired for reporting such misconduct they may be able to seek compensation on behalf of their clients.

According to the women’s allegations, Boner would look down the shirts of female employees, made sexually suggestive grunting noises in the presence of the women and would ask visiting females to do cartwheels in the office. The women also allege the Boner, who owns a petting zoo, would talk about having sex with animal and once stated that he didn’t need women for sexual satisfaction.

Boner, who is seeking re-election in the fall, denies the women’s allegations, telling the Daily Caller, “I would like this to over with as soon as possible, so that everyone knows the truth. My friends and family know what’s true and not true.”
