Tommy Marth, a saxophone player who worked with The Killers, was found dead at his Las Vegas home this week. The Clark County coroner’s office says Marth died of a gunshot wound to the head that is believed to be self inflicted. His body was found in the backyard Monday morning. Marth was 33.
Marth worked with The Killers on their 2006 album “Sam’s Town” and their 2008 album “Day & Age.” He also toured with the band, which includes Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr. and Mark Stoermer, in 2008 and 2009.
"Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There’s a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy," The Killers tweeted.
Marth is survived by his two siblings and parents.
