The St. Louis Blues (5-8-3) snapped their three game losing streak after beating the Edmonton Oilers (8-8-1) 5-3. Lee Stempniak had a goal and an assist and Bryce Salvador, Martin Rucinsky, Jay McClement, and Martin Rucinsky each added a goal for the Blues. Edmonto got two goals from Brad Winchester and two assists from Shawn Horcoff in the loss.
Brian Boucher stopped all 28 shots he faced as the Chicago Blackhawks (6-9-1) shutout the Columbus Blue Jackets (5-9-1) 1-0. Lasse Kukkonen scored the Blackhawks lone goal, enough to give Chicago the victory.
Scott Niedermayer scored a power play goal for Anaheim (13-1-4) and Ryan Getzlaf added two assists as the Ducks skated past the Minnesota Wild (11-5-0) 3-2. Anaheim managed to get 38 shots on goal, 12 more than the Wild.
