Cement truck involved into multi-vehicle accident crashes into home

A cement truck that crashed into a home late Thursday afternoon was involved in multi-vehicle accident with injuries.

Police received a call around 3:00 p.m. stating that a cement truck had left the roadway and hit a residence.

After an investigation, police determined that a man, Mathew Will, driving a Honda, was traveling west on Route 57, when his car drifted out of the westbound lane into the eastbound lane.

Will’s car ran into an eastbound cement truck driven by Scoot Glazer, 41. The cement truck then crossed into the westbound lane and struck an oncoming pickup truck driven by Newman Martin. The cement truck left the roadway striking a cement porch and foundation of a nearby home.

A car in the westbound lane ran into the rear of the Honda.

Will was trapped in his car for over an hour. After he was extricated he was medivacked to a local hospital.

Two other drivers were also injured, though the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
