Minnesota Twins Pick Up Orlando Cabrera in Deal with Oakland A’s

The Minnesota Twins bolstered their post season push on Friday, landing shortstop Orlando Cabrera in a deal that sent minor league infielder Tyler Ladendorf and cash to the Oakland A’s.

Cabrera was hitting .280 with four home runs and 41 RBIs for Oakland and should provide some extra offense to a Twins club that needed help up the middle.

Cabrera is expected to join the club by Saturday when the Twins take on the Los Angeles Angels at the Metrodome.
