Both the federal and state court denture cream lawsuits concern personal injuries, including zinc poisoning, copper deficiency, debilitating neuropathy and hematological (blood) disorders, to consumers allegedly caused by zinc in Poligrip and Fixodent denture creams. In the Philadelphia Mass Tort Program, there are currently 14 denture cream zinc poisoning lawsuits pending. Ten of those cases are against GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) entities, which manufacture and distribute Poligrip, and four of those denture cream lawsuits are against both GSK and Procter & Gamble entities, the ladder of which manufacture and distribute Fixodent.
