Two people killed in Alabama single vehicle accident

George County, AL- Two men were killed and two others seriously injured Saturday in a single vehicle accident in George County.

Police said the accident occurred around 5 p.m. on U.S. 98 when the driver of a Jeep left the roadway on the right side. The driver attempted to return to the road but over corrected, the Jeep then flipped over several times and came to rest on the left median. None of the four men in the vehicle were wearing safety belts.

Two men, Jordan Cooper, 15, and Richard Lee, 32, were ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene. Two other men, Benjamin Brewer, 35, and Kevin Ferguson, 24, were seriously injured and taken to University of Alabama hospital in Mobile.

Police are still investigating the accident and have not determined who was driving the car.
