A Los Angeles man was arrested Saturday, held in connection to several threatening letters sent to celebrities and politicians.
Chad Conrad Castagana, 39, is suspected of sending more than a dozen letters containing threats and a white powder to celebrities that included David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Nancy Pelosi, and Keith Olberman.
Castagana is awaiting a court appearance after being arrested for conveying false information and sending threats through U.S. mail.
Federal agents witnessed Castagana walk from his home to a U.S. mailbox and drop several letters with the threats and white powder. The powder was later determined to be harmless.
