Beyonce and Eva Longoria in talks to play lesbian lovers in film version of Tipping the Velvet.
Two of the world’s most beautiful women could be playing the lead roles in the big screen version of Tipping the Velvet, Sarah Waters' novel about sexual repression in the late 1800’s.
Beyonce and Eva Longoria have been slated to play Kitty Butler and Nan Astley in Sofia Coppola’s version of the novel.
Longoria stated “We are talking about doing the movie together. It's such a wonderful novel, a beautiful love story.”
Beyonce added “We've had Brokeback Mountain so the time is right for this divine novel to get the same treatment.”
