Pregnant man files for divorce in Arizona

Thomas Beatie known as the “Pregnant Man” filed for divorce from his wife Nancy in an Arizona court stating she is a violent alcoholic who once punched him in front of their children.

Thomas Beatie is a transgendered man who gave birth to the couple’s three children before his final gender reassignment surgery. His wife of nine years, Nancy Beatie was unable to have children because of a hysterectomy she had in her 20s. In the divorce papers obtained by TMZ, Beatie states his wife Nancy hit him several times on different occasions. Beatie said that in February of this year he tried to prevent his “visibly intoxicated” wife from driving their children to the daycare center. She began to cuss and shove him, when he dialed 911; Nancy punched him in the crotch with their children watching.

But that wasn’t the first time Nancy has hit Thomas. In another incident in January, Nancy woke Thomas up at 2:00 a.m. by punching him in the face. Thomas said, “This night like, like every night, Nancy hovers over me, threatening me with physical and emotional abuse.”

If an Arizona divorce lawyer can prove these allegations in court, Thomas will have a favorable outcome from their dissolution.

Nancy, however, denies Thomas’s allegations and has also accused him of physical and emotional abuse. But an Arizona judge put a restraining order against Nancy forbidding her to contact Thomas and the children except for her three weekly supervised visits.
