In the new issue of Us Weekly magazine, Giuliana Rancic says she feels “so blessed” to be expecting her first child via gestational carrier. The E! News host struggled to conceive for four years before her breast cancer diagnosis forced her to stop IVF treatments and seek other means of having children.
"This truly is a miracle baby,” Giuliana tells Us Weekly.
The baby is due this summer. For now, Giuliana and husband Bill Rancic are continuing to bond with their surrogate and stay involved with the pregnancy by attending all doctor appointments. Bill also says he and Giuliana will “absolutely” witness their baby’s birth.
"It will be the best moment of our lives,” says Giuliana.
Meanwhile, Giuliana and Bill recently spoke to E! about keeping the gender of their baby a secret. "I don't know how long we're going to be able to keep it a secret, but it's like the only thing in our lives right now that's a secret. Everything else is out there for the world to see, so we're just seeing how long we can keep it a secret. It's fun having something between the two of us,” Giuliana said.
"I have slipped already, but no one picked up on it,” Bill added.
