As we announced, last week we were at the London Book Fair which, as on previous occasions, attracted publishing professionals from the world over. The event was a showcase for resources and new products for authors, publishers, book sellers and, in general, all book-related professionals.
As at the last few editions of the fair, the protagonist this year was the e-book and the enormous possibilities of this new book concept. The Digital Zone, a growing part of the fair, was the most popular among visitors, with more than 75 exhibitors presenting their digital publishing solutions for this new reading era.
Our stand presented our Enhanced Book product, which attracted considerable interest among publishers, authors, book sellers and the general public. We showed them how we can convert a book that is only text into a much more attractive product of greater use for the reader, a book that, as well as text, also contains definitions, pictures and videos.
In general, the fair focused on publishers, who were looking for ways in which to convert their conventional books into e-books, to make them more attractive for readers.
Companies from all over the word visit the London fair every year, either as visitors or exhibitors. The organization also prepared group activities, workshops, talks and debates about issues related to the publishing industry.
