Michigan Understands the Importance of Networking, a Real Estate Club that Serves Wayne and Oakland Counties

National Real Estate Network, LLC will be presenting a powerful speaker discussing how to take any business to the next level. Mr. Chuck Gifford of LBN (Local Business Network) will be sharing how business owners can take their business to higher levels through networking.

National Real Estate Network has learned and uses some of the same tools they have learned from Mr. Gifford Company LBN.” Mr. Gifford will be speaking for a short time at meeting in Livonia.

Accountants Give and Receive More than $100,000 in Referrals Annually.
Norm McKee is an accountant and business consultant. During his first year in LBN, referrals from LBN members accounted for about twenty-five percent of his business. The second year it grew to forty percent. Partnering with other LBN professionals, he also began an employee benefits firm with the potential to generate even more profit than his already highly lucrative accounting practice. Norm receives eight to ten new client referrals a month from his referral partners. He receives more than $100,000 in referrals annually and gives at least that amount to his referral partners. Norm says, “We selected LBN as our networking group because of the structured/instructional-based program offered, providing all members with basic direction over their networking activities. We found LBN members to understand the importance of relationship marketing and how to utilize relationships to create a marketing avenue for their businesses.

• Jim Motley started a computer repair business with $250,000 in sales the first year largely through referrals; doubled his business the second year; then doubled it again the third year.

• Jeannie Kime, a marketer of promotional items, spent two years in another networking organization before joining LBN without much success, and then tripled the business in the first year in LBN. Last year, fifty-four percent of business came from LBN referrals.

• John Gentilia of Perfect View Blinds reported thirty-five percent of business from LBN referrals the first year, growing to forty percent the second year.

• Doris Benson of Comfort Zone Heating and Cooling developed one hundred new customers in the first six months in LBN.

• Ed Koerner, a mortgage lender, received thirty-six referrals in the first six months in LBN.

• Brian Jenks, a commercial lender, received referrals for real estate financing for projects of $12 million and $15 million.

• Attorney Brian Rolfe got a lead for a $50,000 client within a few weeks after joining LBN.

• Julie Greene, a financial planner, reported commissions of $20,000 on leads from the LBN group and had expectations that that number would double the next year.

• Ron Tremper, owner of a party rental business, received roughly fifty percent of business from LBN referrals and was able to expand into new markets simply on the basis of business generated by a single LBN referral partner.

• Kirk Falvay, an attorney, gave and received twenty-to-thirty new customers in a partnering arrangement with an accountant and financial planner in LBN.

• Robert Light, owner of a human resources firm, was able to stop an advertising campaign costing roughly $5,000 per ad because networking, at a cost under $1,000 a year, generated as much new business.

• Robert Breitman, owner of a Web site development firm, and Ted Nathan, owner of a computer services firm, developed such strong ties as members of an LBN chapter, that they joined forces to form a new, larger and more powerful firm capable of serving a broader range of client needs and larger businesses.
