In March, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, actor Dennis Quaid’s third wife had a divorce attorney file for dissolution, but she has since withdrawn her petition.
Kimberly, who has been married to Dennis for 8 years, stated in her original divorce filing that their relationship had “become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities,” according to Extra.
Since the Quaid’s have 4 year-old twins, child custody would have been an issue that a divorce lawyer would have to work out for the couple and custody battles can become ugly, putting the children in the middle.
Last month, the couple decided to work on their relationship in Telluride, Colorado and vowed to continue making their relationship stronger.
“They have an explosive relationship, but they do love each other. They are rethinking divorce and seeing if they can actually make it work. It’s been a difficult path for both of them, but they don’t want to make a mistake and divorce… they have very strong feelings each other,” an inside source told E!News.
Dennis Quaid was previously married to actress P.J. Soles for 5 years and actress Meg Ryan for 10 years. People who have been married more than once are statistically more likely to need a dissolution attorney and end their nuptials.
Divorce is a hard thing to go through emotionally and also on the pragmatic level. Couples need the expertise of a divorce lawyer to work on dividing their assets and developing and agreeable child custody agreement.
