Bangkok Airways Plane Crashes in Thailand, 1 Killed and 37 Injured
A Bangkok Airways plane
crashed at an airport on a resort island in Thailand on Tuesday. One person was
killed and 37 were injured.
The plane was carrying 68
passengers and 4 crew members when it skidded and crashed while landing at
Samui airport on Ko Samui Island.
The pilot of the ATR-72
turboprop was warned of volatile winds by air traffic control. The pilot was
killed in the crash and the co-pilot was trapped in the wreckage. 7 passengers
were seriously injured and 30 others suffered minor injuries.
