Game of Thrones star Sean Bean has been arrested for allegedly harassing his ex-wife, actress Georgina Sutcliffe. A Scotland Yard spokesman confirms Bean was taken into custody Wednesday in London after being questioned about allegedly harassing Sutcliffe in phone calls and text messages. Bean has not been charged.
“A 53-year-old man attended a central London police station by appointment yesterday, where he was arrested on suspicion of harassment and bailed until a later date," the police spokesman tells People magazine.
Sutcliffe is Bean’s fourth wife. Just five months after they tied the knot in 2008, Bean was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence. Sutcliffe claimed it was simply a heated argument, and Bean was not charged. Their divorce was announced in August 2010 and finalized four months later.
Bean made headlines last year when he was stabbed outside a London bar. He was reportedly smoking outside the bar with Playboy model April Summers when another man allegedly made lewd comments about her. The man walked away after Bean confronted him, but returned later and attacked the actor. Bean was stabbed in the arm with a piece of broken glass and punched several times. He refused to go to the hospital and was treated with a first aid kit.
