Under African Skies, starring Paul Simon, Maya Angelou, Okeyerama Asante, Harry Belafonte and David Byrne, opens in theaters Friday, May 11. The documentary follows musician Paul Simon has he returns to Africa to revisit the recording of his highly successful 1986 album Graceland. Because Graceland was recorded in South Africa and featured local musicians, Simon was accused of breaking the cultural boycott of the country that was meant to help end the Apartheid regime.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 42 minutes and is not rated.
