The final three American Idol contestants have been determined! After weeks of being a constant fixture in the bottom three, Hollie Cavanagh was finally sent packing on Thursday’s results show, making Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips the final three contenders for the Idol crown. Cavanagh, 18, sang Miley Cyrus’ “Climb” for her farewell performance.
Speaking to Us Weekly magazine after the show, Cavanagh said she was fine with not making it past the top four. "I'm doing fine. Honestly, if you would have asked me a few weeks ago, I would have been in tears, but you can't complain when you're in the top four. There are so many people previously in this competition that would die to be at this point, so I'm just proud of myself,” she said.
As for who will win the competition, Cavanagh said she has “no idea.” “At this point I am exactly with America. I have no idea," she added. "The top three are amazing. . . it's going to be an amazing finale."
