Survivor One World Finale Recap: Kim Spradlin Crowned The Winner

With Tarzan’s elimination, the girls finally accomplished their goal of having all women in the end. They are surprisingly calm about the next immunity challenge and tribal council because each of them thinks that they are in a final three alliance. The reality is that Kim is running the show and will decide which deal she will honor.

For the first immunity challenge, the girls must untie knots to open a gate, race through a balance beam maze, collect bags of puzzle pieces on a giant rope net, solve a puzzle that will give them three numbers, and then use the numbers to solve a combination lock. Kim is the first to solve her puzzle and try the combination lock. She has the wrong numbers, allowing Alicia and Chelsea to catch up. They also have the wrong combination. Kim returns to her puzzle to find the right numbers, and it pays off because she wins immunity for the third time. Kim’s win insures her spot in the final four.

Kim is the deciding vote for the next elimination. Alicia and Christina think they are voting out Chelsea while Chelsea and Sabrina think it’s Alicia who will join the jury. Kim remains loyal to Chelsea, her closest ally since day one, and sends Alicia packing.

For the final immunity challenge, the girls must guide small bowls through a large structure using a long pole. They must stack ten bowls on top of the structure without them toppling. Since the structure rests on a spring, even a slight movement in the wrong direction could make the bowls fall. Kim and Christina work steadily and remain even in the challenge. Kim gains a slight lead and wins immunity again.

Christina suspects she will be voted off, so she asks Kim to be honest about her decision. Kim confirms she will take Sabrina and Chelsea. Christina doesn’t attempt to change her mind. At tribal council, Christina becomes the last member of the jury.

The jury questions are relatively easy and no real drama occurs. At the live reunion, Jeff Probst reads the votes. Kim Spradlin is declared the winner with seven votes. In addition to the $1 million prize, Kim takes the $100,000 prize for fans voting her the Sprint Player of the Season.
