Bo Schembechler, legendary football coach at University of Michigan dies

Bo Schembechler, the man who paced the sideline as the football coach of the University of Michigan from 1969-1989, has died. He was 77.

Schembechler had collapsed while taping a television show earlier this morning. He was rushed to an area hospital but did not survive. He had been hospitalized less than a month ago after falling ill at the same studio.

Schembechler led the Wolverines to the Rose Bowl 10 times in his 21 seasons with Michigan, including his first and last year at the helm.  He won a total of 234 games as a head coach, 35 of those victories game between 1964-1968 when he was the head coach at Miami (Ohio).
