The driver, who caused a traffic accident Saturday in Johns Creek, was charged after two children and six adults were injured.
The accident took place just after 1:00 p.m. on McGinnis Ferry Road, near the Gwinnett and Forsyth county line. According to Georgia State Patrol, the driver of a Honda crossed over the center median and crashed into an oncoming SUV.
The Honda was carrying two children that incurred non-life threatening injuries. One of the children was released Saturday evening and the other was held overnight for observation.
The SUV that was struck had five passengers, including a properly restrained child. The driver of the SUV had the most severe injuries with numerous fractures. The child in the car only has a rash caused by the straps. The other passengers were not seriously injured.
