Eli Manning has reportedly agreed to a six-year contract extension with the New York Giants that will pay the quarterback $97 million, an average of just over $15 million a season.
The new deal will keep Manning in a Giants uniform through the 2015 season and once the contract is signed he will be guaranteed $35 million.
Giants general manager Jerry Reese called Manning “a franchise quarterback” and went on to say “He does what we ask him on the field and he does what we ask him to do off the field. He is a good football player.”
Eli will now make more than older brother Peyton Manning who collects an average of $14.17 million each season as quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts.
