Christian Drug Rehabs Seeing Non-Christians In Record Numbers

Faith based drug rehab is not only for believers

There is a misconception out there that Christian drug rehabs are just for Christians. The simple answer is no, they are for anyone who is struggling with an addiction to drugs and wants to turn their life around. In recent years, Christian drug rehabs have experienced a huge surge in popularity, and as a result, they are seeing non-Christians come through their doors in record numbers. Although a Christian drug treatment program is rooted in Biblical principles, they can be applied to any addict's life who is open to hearing a new point of view and facing some tough truths about their addiction.

Addiction is a disease that has the power to destroy lives. Not just the life of the addict, but the lives of the people that love the addict. A good Christian drug rehab combine the best of a traditional, secular approach to addiction treatment with a faith-based, Biblical approach. This gives addicts the opportunity to become stronger, not only physically and emotionally, but spiritually as well. For many non-believers, Christian drug rehabs provide them with a unique chance to make a fresh start and explore how God can guide their steps. All they have to do is be prepared to move their feet in the right direction.  The Bible says, in Mark 10:27, "Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

Many addicts think of themselves as non-believers simply because they have had a prior bad experience with church, or a faith-based environment. Or they fear that their addiction has made them unworthy of God's love and forgiveness. The truth is this – God accepts people where they are right now, not where He wants them to be. He illuminates their reality so that they can make the decision to change. The rest is up to them.
