FBI Launches Manhunt For Groom Suspected Of Killing Bride

The FBI and other law enforcement agencies have launched a manhunt for a groom suspected of murdering his new wife just hours after they exchanged vows. Estrella Carrera, 26, and Arnoldo Jimenez, 30, wed last Friday at Chicago’s City Hall. Carrera’s body was found two days later in her apartment.

Police believe Jimenez stabbed Carrera to death during an argument at her Burbank apartment sometime after 4 a.m. on Saturday. Officers visited the apartment on Sunday when concerned family members said Carrera failed to pick up her two children on Saturday as promised. Carrera was found dead in a bathtub still wearing the silver cocktail dress she wore to her wedding reception.

"This was a brutal murder," Burbank Police Department spokesman Joe Ford said. "There is some aggression, obviously."

A warrant for Jimenez’s arrest on first-degree murder charges was issued earlier this week. Jimenez is described as 6 foot tall and 220 pounds. He has dark hair and brown eyes.

Carrera and Jimenez have a 2-year-old son together. Carrera also has a 9-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
