Performing at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood on Friday Michael Richards verbally attacked two men who began heckling the former “Seinfeld” star.
Richards, who played the quirky character Kramer on the hit NBC show, was less than a minute into his show before he responded to two black men who shouted that he wasn’t funny. Richards began a tirade that shocked the crowd, many of whom got up and left after the verbal rampage became racially motivated.
The 57-year-old Richards screamed at the men “Shut up! Fifty years ago we’d have you upside down with a f------ fork up your ass.”
It appeared as if Richards had snapped and lost all control of himself, so enraged by the men’s criticism. Richards kept up his verbal attack on the two men saying “You can talk, you can talk, you're brave now mother------. Throw his ass out. He's a n-----!”
Richards went on to call the men n----- several times before he stormed off the stage. An employee of the Laugh Factory took the stage and apologized for the incident.
Richards was back on stage on Saturday and performed without incident.
