R&B singer Ray J is in a Las Vegas hospital receiving treatment for exhaustion and jet lag, his rep confirmed Tuesday. Ray J checked into the hospital on Monday after a busy weekend that included returning from China to attend the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
“Ray J was in Las Vegas hosting a launch party for the product he is endorsing Prince Reigns Hair Serum and to attend the Billboard Awards. He had just returned to the US from a quick 32 hour round trip from China where he performed a concert and had meetings regarding a new business. Upon landing, he immediately drove four hours to Las Vegas for the two events,” a source close to the star reveals.
Meanwhile, Ray J is rumored to have nearly had a nasty run-in with the family of the late Whitney Houston at the Billboard Awards. Insiders say Houston’s sister-in-law/manager Pat Houston wanted Ray J, who was said to be dating Whitney at the time of her death in February, removed from his seat near her family before the tribute to Whitney began. Ray J refused to move. Pat allegedly believes the singer was a bad influence on Whitney.
TMZ reports Ray J complained that Pat “ruined what was a great opportunity to honor the woman who I loved."
